GCSCS2021: Supply Chain Reset & Deep Transformation
2021-05-06

The global economy continues to be unstable due to tariffs, trade wars, epidemics and so on. Under the new normal, the reset and deep transformation of supply chain is imperative and urgent. The Chinese government also continuously provides policy support to supply chain innovation and application to accelerate transformation, promote development and address internal and external challenges.

As a traditional industry, the upstream and downstream industrial chains of chemical industry are huge and complex, and at the same time, they are facing increasingly strict regulations and policy supervision. The 14th Five-Year Plan also plans and sets strategies for the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the petrochemical industry.

According to the latest survey of authoritative institutions, the deep digital innovation on traditional business model has been paid attention to and put into practice by most chemical enterprises. The APAC region, in particular, is making good progress in digitization and continues to accelerate, digital operations and supply chains have become a strong guarantee of business confidence and performance growth. How to build the future supply chain in the digital era has become a major issue for enterprise leaders, and hot topics such as intelligence, demand-driven, goal orientation, sustainability, diversity, resilience and agility, innovative technology, green & low-carbon, and talent training have become the focus of attention.

In this background, 2021 Global Chemical Supply Chain (China) Summit will be held in Shanghai on Oct 28-29.The summit will bring together more than 300 participants from the government & associations, leading chemical manufacturers, 3PLs & 4PLs, consulting agencies, software & equipment and other solution providers to discuss the relevant hot topics.
