Wendy Suter Lim

Speaker Introduction:
Wendy Suter Lim has served in a variety of supply chain leadership roles throughout her career. She is Director of Supply Chain Operations for Eastman’s Asia Pacific Region. Based in Shanghai, she is responsible for the holistic supply chain, from plan to deliver, for a total business size of 2.1BUSD. In this role, she represents Asia on the global Supply Chain Leadership Team and serves as a member of the steering committee for Eastman’s Hyderabad Operations shared service center. She also is a member of the SAP steering committees for India and Nanjing.

Wendy began her career with L'Oréal Malaysia in 2001 and progressed into various roles within L'Oréal Asia and emigrated to Switzerland in 2007. While in Europe, she worked for Ecolab, Zurich and later Novartis, Basel as Senior Global SC Manager.

In 2013, she joined Celanese as the Asia Pacific Supply Chain and Process Improvement Director. Among the key highlights during these times were her roles as the Chair of Asia Supply Chain Council and the Chair of Asia Women’s Impact Network, an employee resource group in the company that embraces diversity and inclusion. Also, during this time, she was given the opportunity to lead many planning and productivity improvement projects, sponsor integrated business planning, as well as lead a regional strategic footprint integration.

Wendy has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Malaya, an Executive MBA in Global Supply Chain Management from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland, and she has completed a course on Artificial Intelligence, Implications to Business Strategy with Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

She is a strong advocate for all talent and believes everyone can be successful with the appropriate support and guidance. She is a member of Eastman’s employee resource group for women and serves as an inclusion and diversity champion for the Asia Pacific Region. She is an avid yogi, and she enjoys squash and Zumba, as well as traveling with her family.
