Gaetan Van Exem is
the Global Vertical Lead for Pharma and Healthcare at Maersk, based in Belgium.
With nearly a decade
of experience at Maersk, Gaetan has held a variety of commercial roles,
consistently working at the frontline with customers to understand and address
their evolving supply chain needs. His passion lies in cold chain logistics,
with hands-on experience spanning frozen goods, perishables and
pharmaceuticals.
In his current role,
Gaetan is responsible for shaping and executing Maersk’s global strategy for the pharma and healthcare
sector across all transportation modes. This strategic responsibility has
enabled him to develop deep expertise in pharmaceutical supply chains, with a
strong focus on regulatory compliance, temperature control, and end-to-end
visibility.
His ambition is to
deliver integrated logistics solutions that not only meet the industry's
standards but also contribute to better health outcomes. He’s particularly motivated by the idea that better
supply chains can lead to better patient outcomes.
