Shanghai CustomsBrokers Association



The Shanghai Customs Brokers Association is a non-profit formal organization voluntarily formed by the customs declaration peers having registered with the custom authority and other relevant economic organizations. It has been filed, reviewed and approved by the Civil Affairs Bureau, and implements industry services and self-discipline management. During the past five sessions, the Association has always insisted on the principle of serving enterprises, ports and governments. As the first local customs declaration association in China, it was established in 1999, and its current office is at Room 2207, No. 18, Yangshupu Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai City. For more than 20 years, the Association has carried out its business with six aspects of services as the leverage, including customs clearance, consultation, training, information, rights protection, and compliance. In October 2017, in response to the requirements of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council on printing and distributing the General Plan for Decoupling Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce from Administrative Organs, the Association officially implemented the decoupling reform. After decoupled, it has developed under the leadership of the Party and cooperated with governmental departments to strengthen management on the industry, organize industry training, technical consultation, information exchange and other activities, carry out industry investigation, industry self-discipline, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises, coordinate and standardize the import and export business order of the industry, coordinate relationship between members, members and non-members in the industry, members and other industry operators, members and consumers and other social organizations, etc., truly implementing the “socialization and marketization of an industry association.
