| Dr. Cheng Xu was born in Tianjin, China. He received his doctorate degree in Electronic Engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He joined LANXESS in 2006, holding various managerial positions in procurement and logistics at the company’s production sites in Wuxi and Changzhou as well as at Shanghai headquarters. Since 2014, he has been head of procurement and logistics APAC. Effective from May 1, 2019, he was elected and appointed as President Asia for the initiative “Together for Sustainability” (TfS).
Prior to his position at LANXESS, Dr. Xu was Deputy Director of Wuxi New District Administration Committee, following his roles as Electronic Engineer at the research institute of Hohhot Railways Bureau and Assistant Research Fellow at Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
